Ben & Jerry's France

Ben & Jerry's French subsidiary accounts for sales of approximately $5 million and a total team of 20 people, including sales, marketing, Scoop Shops, franchising and finance departments. Its local quality distribution includes three fully owned "scoop" shops and four franchises, in addition to being well represented in some leading hypermarkets such as Auchan and Monoprix. The company's approach to the French market has been to focus on building a strong quality network of distribution, and to foster the original Ben & Jerry's unique corporate and social values. France represents a market of enormous potential for Ben & Jerry's, and as such, is a key element in their international development strategy. Important goals for the French market in the next two-to-three years will be to continue building a quality distribution network, as well as increasing Ben & Jerry's brand awareness in the local market.
