Michael Sands
Chief Marketing Officer

As the Chief Marketing Officer for Ben & Jerry's Homemade, Inc., Michael Sands is responsible for the company's branding, trademark and promotional marketing in the United Kingdom, France, Benelux countries, Japan, Singapore, Israel, Lebanon, Canada and the United States. Sands also oversees the undertaking and execution of all programs, advertising, materials and Internet, and is responsible for the organization of domestic and international recruitment.

Prior to his experience at Ben & Jerry's, Sands was the vice president of marketing for Snapple Beverage Corp.; the director of marketing for Mexican Specialty Brands and a senior brand manager for Rolling Rock brands at Labatt USA; and held marketing and advertising positions at Unilever in Trumbull, Connecticut, and Grey Advertising in New York.

Sands holds a bachelor's degree in marketing from Babson College.

Susan M. Renaud
General Manager France - Interim

Susan M. Renaud has extensive involvement with the development of Ben & Jerry's across Europe. She is currently the Interim General Manager for Ben & Jerry's France. Prior to holding this position, Susan acted as the International Controller for Ben & Jerry's, from 1995 to 2000, establishing and directing finance and operations functions for the company's European and Israeli subsidiaries. From 1991 to 1995, she acted as the company's Controller, directing all aspects of its accounting, financial reporting and budgeting.

Susan established Ben & Jerry's first foreign office and implemented a European accounting system; developed and implemented the company's first foreign inventory planning, importing and logistics operations for its European operations; and established the company's first foreign legal subsidiaries in the United Kingdom, France and Holland. Her next role with Ben & Jerry's will be as Director of European Business Development, leading the expansion of Ben & Jerry's into the rest of Europe.

Prior to her experience at Ben & Jerry's, Susan was a Senior Financial Analyst and Senior Accountant at BBN Communications Corp. in Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA and a Senior Auditor at Arthur Andersen & Co. in Boston, USA.

Susan holds a bachelor's degree in Business Administration/Accounting from the University of Texas, Austin.
